Japan crossed the 10 million visitor mark at the fastest ever pace this year, reaching that level already in March, official data showed on Wednesday, as the weak yen propelled an unprecedented tourism boom.
South Korean tourists ranked first with more than 2.5 million people, followed by mainland China with more than 2.36 million people, Taiwan ranked third with more than 1.62 million people, and Hong Kong ranked fourth with more than 647,000 people.
