A guide to Golden Week in Japan
“Golden Week” is Japan’s “long holiday” from late April to early May. Many public holidays, such as “Showa Day”, “Constitution Memorial Day”, “Greenery Day” and “Children’s Day”, are concentrated between April 29 and May 5. Due to the different circumstances each year, plus the consecutive holidays formed by the weekends before and after, there will be a maximum of 10 consecutive days of holidays!
